97 (who?)
Zer0 - Complete by Piperonni Zer0 - Complete by Piperonni
He's about 95% completed (still missing some details, like the "0" ) so we both thought, why not do a test shoot?

Still need to fix a few things:
The belt still needs some more 'silver' pieces.
Gotta add the flaps to the pouches (which work).
Gotta add buckles to my wrists.
Gotta add the iconic "0".

That's... it. And with only 10 days left until con. I think this is the first time we've finished a costume with time to spare, haha.

Myself as Zer0
J as photographer

Proof regarding the gloves. I have four fingers: [link]

what kind of helmet did you use for this?

Piperonni Featured By Owner Jul 31, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
We constructed our own helmet out of EVA foam and PET plastic. There's a step by step in my gallery (Miscellaneous folder).

What did you use for the visor piece? Cast resin?
Piperonni Featured By Owner Jun 1, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
Do you mean for sculpting the visor, or the plastic used for the final piece? I'll write both just in case.

For sculpting J used blue foam board (from Lowes) and bondo, which he then sanded down to the final shape. As for the finished visor, that was vacuum formed with PET plastic and then painted with car window tint.

Well thank you very much. I've never heard of vacuum forming PET plastic. So, you have opened a new world for me.

Well, that's not what the plastic is called. I feel like I didn't explain myself well. The plastic is called PET plastic and it comes in various sizes and sheet widths. J vacuum formed it around the sculpted piece to create a plastic visor. The pictures in my scraps are a much better example.
