AUGH! WHY do I keep doing this? Why did I delete this? I'm crazy guys. I'm so sorry for all of the re-uploads.
Anyway, here's my story about meeting Yuri and his mother.
Okay, so when I heard that Yuri Lowenthal would be attending MTAC, I flipped out, because MTAC 2011 was when I wanted to debut my new Haseo costume. I got so scared on Saturday while we were there because, apparently, his autograph signing was running late due to the cosplay contest (he was a judge). So, we got in line a bit late (I don't remember what time, but his signing was supposed to start at 5:30PM and it was a bit after that). I was worried because the line was so long and he would only be signing for a few hours that I wouldn't get to meet him.
I met another Haseo (2nd form) in line. We pretty much became friends instantly. He and his girlfriend were really sweet. He's lucky because he was able to record Yuri yelling "Skeith". I sadly left my camera in the room. When I found out how long the line was, I didn't want to get it and miss my chance.
While I was waiting, the lovely lady on the right and her friends came and asked for my picture. I had no idea it was Yuri's mother until someone mentioned it. I was honored because she told me I looked exactly like the character her son voiced. I got a picture with her before she went inside.
In the end, Yuri stuck around and I was able to meet him. It was funny because when I approached him he was like, "Hello Haseo" with a very silly inflection to his voice.
He was super nice! He also said my costume was one of the best he'd seen. He seemed really impressed when I told him that I made mine. I had him sign one of my twin blades. He said he would be honored and wrote "Skeith", his name, and "Haseo" on them. And then I got the picture with him shown above. His mom also ran into me again and asked if I had met him in time before the signing closed. J also ran into him when we checked out of our room on Sunday.
I am so glad I was able to meet him. And in my new Haseo cosplay too! I'm really happy he liked it. I was not expecting that good of feedback.
I hate how wide-eyed I look in the first picture. I tend to do overdo my smile sometimes. I have a photo someone took of me as Peter that's frightening due to my HUGE eyes.
